Regional Health Inspection Campaigns Target Water and Medical Facilities in Yemen and Egypt

Local authorities in Abyan governorate, Yemen, launched a field inspection campaign of water factories and laboratories under the direction of Governor Dr. Mukhtar al‑Rabbash. The effort, carried out by the regional water resources authority and the public works office, aimed to verify compliance with health and technical standards, identify violations, and apply legal measures against non‑compliant producers, with further inspections planned for additional facilities.

In Ismailia governorate, Egypt, the Free Treatment Administration conducted a broad inspection of 60 private medical establishments, including clinics, laboratories and hospitals, following directives from Governor Nabil al‑Sadiq. The campaign led to the closure of seven facilities and warnings to fifteen others for infractions such as missing location licenses, inadequate infection‑control practices, and improper disposal of hazardous medical waste. Ongoing inspections are scheduled to ensure continued compliance with legal and technical requirements.
