Regional health programs expand in Kulonprogo, Kudus, and Depok

Various regional health initiatives are being implemented across Indonesia to improve public wellness and nutrition.

In Kulonprogo, the Health Office is expanding its free health check (CKG) program, which includes eye exams and active case finding for tuberculosis (TBC) using X-ray facilities. The initiative aims to detect TBC early to ensure prompt treatment and prevent community spread.

In Kudus, the free nutritious meal (MBG) program has reached approximately 6,000 individuals within the priority '3B' group, consisting of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers. This represents about 50 percent of the local target population, supported by 108 meal provider units.

Meanwhile, in Depok, the Health Office reported an 87.14 percent attendance rate for its free health check program. Over 413,000 residents, ranging from infants to the elderly, have undergone screenings for various conditions, including thyroid issues, growth monitoring, anemia, and cardiovascular risk factors.
