Regional healthcare reforms implemented in Crotone and Abruzzo

In Crotone, an inter-institutional agreement has been signed between local municipalities and the Provincial Health Authority to improve socio-sanitary integration for people with disabilities and those in conditions of non-self-sufficiency. The protocol aims to create integrated care pathways by strengthening the Single Access Point (PUA) and Multidimensional Evaluation Units (UVM), ensuring better coordination between social and health services.

In Abruzzo, new corporate acts for the four local health authorities (Asl) have been approved. This move, validated by the Department of Health, is part of a broader reorganization of the Abruzzo hospital network initiated by regional law. The restructuring aims to standardize departmental organization across the different Asls to improve data flow, management control, and service efficiency while respecting territorial specificities.
