Regional high school golf tournaments conclude with multiple championship winners

Regional high school golf tournaments concluded with several notable performances. In the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC) Girls Golf Championships, Fort Frye took first place in Class 1A-3A with a score of 350, while Columbiana finished as the runner-up with 393. Individual standout Ellie West of Wheeling Park earned medalist honors in the Class 4A-5A tournament with an even par 71.

In the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Boys Golf Tournament, Gallia Academy secured the title with a team score of 318, finishing 14 strokes ahead of Fairland. Christopher Conley led the Blue Devils as the tournament medalist with a 71.

Additionally, the Minerva girls golf team won the Triple County League Tournament, finishing with a score of 353 to beat second-place Alliance by 42 shots. Peyton Beaumariage was the tournament champion for Minerva with an 18-hole score of 81. Meanwhile, the Columbiana boys golf team maintained an undefeated 18-0 record following a victory over Youngstown Mooney.
