Regional Historical Museum in Pleven hosts summer educational program

The Regional Historical Museum (RIM) in Pleven is hosting its eleventh annual ‘Summer in the Museum’ educational initiative. This year, approximately 390 children from the city and surrounding region are participating in the program.

A highlight of the initiative is the ‘Treasure Hunters’ activity, where children take on the roles of archaeologists to discover, date, and describe historical finds. The program also includes workshops such as ‘Profession Paisiy’, focusing on ink writing, ‘Secrets of the Animal World’, which covers ecology and nature conservation, and ‘Magic on Wood’, which introduces children to pyrography.

Led by museum specialists, the program uses a combination of practical tasks and role-playing to teach history, archaeology, and cultural heritage. The museum continues its educational outreach throughout the year with various workshops and ateliers related to Bulgarian traditions and history.
