Bank Tabungan Negara addresses legal claims and reports growth

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) is addressing several operational and financial developments. The bank's legal counsel, Widodo Sigit Pudjianto, announced intentions to issue a legal notice (somasi) following social media claims regarding a Rp17 billion customer fund issue. The bank maintains that these claims are misleading and do not align with official documentation.

On the financial front, BTN reported that its bancassurance business generated Rp27.4 billion in non-interest income through the first half of 2026, contributing approximately 1.5 percent to its total fee-based income. This is part of the 'Beyond Mortgage' strategy to diversify revenue.

Additionally, BTN has distributed a cumulative Rp7.4 trillion through its Housing Program Credit (KPP). This includes Rp5.4 trillion in KPP Supply and Rp2.0 trillion in KPP Demand, aimed at supporting both housing developers and productive MSMEs in purchasing or renovating homes.
