Regional housing developments advance in Argentina and Chile
Regional housing initiatives are progressing in Argentina and Chile. In Argentina, Governor Ricardo Quintela delivered two new homes in the Susana Quintela neighborhood as part of the Plan Angelelli. This program, which has surpassed 1,000 homes province-wide, aims to transform former settlements into established neighborhoods with basic services and community spaces. The Susana Quintela neighborhood has now reached 157 housing solutions since the intervention began in 2020.
In Putaendo, Chile, authorities held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new housing development for the ‘Vida Nueva’ committee. The project will consist of 80 homes and marks the first such construction in the commune in 14 years. Mayor Mauricio Quiroz stated that the municipality established a housing office in 2021 to secure the necessary feasibility studies for the project. Construction is expected to take approximately 660 days.
