Regional humanitarian campaigns seek donations and volunteers

Various humanitarian donation and volunteer efforts are underway across different regions to support vulnerable populations.

In Arequipa, Peru, the ‘Abrigando Corazones’ campaign aims to provide warm clothing to at least 170 people, including seniors, children, and individuals with disabilities. The initiative targets centers such as the Asilo Víctor F. Lira and Hogar San Aníbal Di Francia. Collection points are established at the Provincial Municipality of Arequipa through August 28.

In Hermosillo, Mexico, the Banco de Ropa is requesting donations of clothing and footwear specifically for men and children to assist homeless individuals and migrants. The organization reports a shortage of male-oriented inventory and is actively seeking new volunteers to assist with daily sorting operations.

In Cali, Colombia, a donation center at the Alberto Galindo Sports Unit is facing a shortage of volunteers. While donations continue to arrive following a recent earthquake, the number of daily volunteers has decreased from over 1,000 to approximately 350, making the classification and distribution of supplies more difficult for the remaining staff.
