Regional infrastructure and budget updates in Mexico and Peru

In Mexico, the Junta Estatal de Caminos (JEC) has performed cleaning, painting, and signaling work to support the operation of RedMetro in the Zona Media region. These improvements facilitate the two new lines connecting Rioverde and Ciudad Fernández. During its first five days of operation, the system provided free mobility to 3,131 users across Line 1 and Line 2. The new units feature Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and accessibility for people with disabilities, women, and seniors.

In Peru, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) announced that the Executive will request a supplementary credit of S/8,000 million from Congress. Minister Marco Vinelli stated the funds are intended to maintain ongoing projects, including cleaning agricultural canals and drains, purchasing 1,200,000 school kits for the upcoming year, and funding road infrastructure and Metro Line 2 valuations.
