Regional infrastructure and investment projects reported in Turkey

Local authorities in Erzincan and Samsun have provided updates on significant regional development and infrastructure projects.

In Erzincan, the Provincial Special Administration reported the completion of 140 kilometers of asphalt paving and bituminous hot mix applications in 2026. Additional works included 2,000 kilometers of grader road maintenance and 750 kilometers of irrigation canal cleaning and construction. Ongoing strategic projects include a Tourism Master Plan, the Ergan Mountain Extraordinary Sports Center, and the Yeşil Çermik Project.

In Samsun, the Provincial Coordination Board announced 467 ongoing projects with a total value of 152.7 billion TL. Key developments include the 17 billion TL Samsun City Hospital, which features 1,458 beds, and ongoing construction for state hospitals in Atakum and Tekkeköy. Transportation upgrades are also underway, including a new terminal building at Samsun Çarşamba International Airport to increase annual passenger capacity from 2 million to 3 million, and a 6.45 billion TL tramway line project.
