Regional infrastructure updates in Puebla and Santa Ana

In Puebla, Mexico, the state government has intensified efforts to prevent flooding in the metropolitan area. Through the Secretariat of Infrastructure, authorities are conducting manual and mechanical weeding of retaining walls and slopes, alongside the systematic cleaning of channels and ravines affected by rainwater descending from La Malintzi. This operation includes monitoring high-risk zones and strategic points such as the Caltonac ravine and the Joaquín Colombres crossing to protect the historic center and local residents.

In Santa Ana, Venezuela, residents have reported the rapid deterioration of Bolívar Plaza following a rehabilitation project completed in mid-2024. Despite an investment of approximately $43,000 intended for landscaping and cleaning, locals claim the space has been abandoned without proper maintenance. Citizens noted that ornamental plants have died and the area is now filled with debris and plastic, undermining the site's value as a community meeting point and local heritage site.
