Regional initiatives in Italy support environmental education and public mobility

Ascit Spa has announced the return of its 'A lezione con Ascit' environmental education project for the 2026/2027 school year. The free program is designed for primary school students in municipalities served by the company, including Altopascio, Barga, Capannori, and others in the Piana and Valle del Serchio regions. The initiative uses interactive workshops to teach children about waste separation, recycling processes, and reducing packaging waste.

In a separate regional development, Arriva Italia, in coordination with the Municipality of Selvino and the Bergamo Local Public Transport Agency, is enhancing substitute transport services starting September 14. This measure aims to support students and commuters while the Albino-Selvino cable car remains closed for maintenance. The plan includes three new daily trips on the Nembro-Selvino route, scheduled to align with school hours and local transit connections.
