Regional initiatives launch political leadership training for women and LGBTIQ+ groups

Various regional initiatives are underway to strengthen political leadership among marginalized or underrepresented groups. In Chihuahua, Mexico, the ‘Diplomado Liderazgo Político de las Mujeres’ was launched to provide women with the tools necessary to participate in public life and engage in democratic processes informed and free from violence. The program, inaugurated by representatives from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and the Instituto Estatal Electoral de Chihuahua, aims to bolster the capacities of women to influence the entity's political landscape.

In Pasto, Colombia, a call for participation has been issued for the ‘Seminario de Formación en Liderazgo Político Lgbtiq+’. Hosted at the Universidad Autónoma de Nariño, the seminar is designed to promote political incidence and dialogue for the LGBTIQ+ community. Held in the context of National Human Rights Day, the initiative seeks to foster a more diverse and inclusive political participation within the territory.
