Regional inspections launched for food safety and river pollution

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Zenica-Doboj Canton Inspection Affairs Administration has announced increased inspections of schools, preschool institutions, and nearby food service facilities. These measures aim to ensure compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, food safety, and the protection of student health at the start of the new school year.

Meanwhile, in Croatia, authorities are investigating a mass fish kill in the Sava River occurring between Ivanić Grad and Zagreb. The State Inspectorate's water inspection department has collected water and fish samples to determine if pollution or infectious diseases caused the event. Zagreb Holding's water supply and sewerage company (ViO) denied any malfunctions at the city's central wastewater treatment plant, stating that all discharge parameters remain within legal limits.
