Regional Italian festivals promote environmental sustainability and green tourism
The fourth edition of the Notte Verde festival in Ceccano focused on the intersection of environment, water, and agriculture. Despite rainfall during the event, the festival hosted political debates, street performances, and the Notte Verde Award. Organizer Riccardo Del Brocco noted that the event has become a fixture in the regional calendar, bringing together administrators, technicians, and agricultural experts to discuss water resources and territorial resilience.
In Agrigento, the Naturalmente Agrigento Slow & Green Festival concluded with over five thousand participants. The event served as a launchpad for a long-term tourism valorization model involving the Valley of the Temples and the surrounding coast. Organized by the Municipality of Agrigento and Pro Loco Agrigento in collaboration with CoopCulture, the initiative aims to promote sustainable tourism through a series of workshops, cultural experiences, and a new interactive green map app to encourage year-round visitation.
