Regional Italian football results feature controversial defeats for Asta and Ugento

In recent regional football matches in Italy, both Asta and Ugento suffered defeats marked by significant misfortune and officiating disputes.

Castiglionese defeated Asta 2-1. Despite Asta hitting both the post and the crossbar and receiving strong performances from players like Gonzi, Castiglionese secured the win through a Lucatti goal following a controversial penalty in the 73rd minute.

Ostuni defeated Ugento at the Comunale stadium. Ugento struggled with poor defensive errors and hit the woodwork three times during the first 27 minutes of play. Following the match, Ugento Vice President Cosimo Bellisario criticized the officiating, stating it was ‘unacceptable’ and suggesting the club might withdraw from the Eccellenza pugliese tournament due to repeated refereeing issues.
