Regional Italian football updates: Volturino victory and Siena preparations

Volturino secured a significant victory in their recent match, maintaining their position near the top of the standings. After an early goal by Lepore in the 10th minute, the team held a lead into halftime. Although the opponents equalized early in the second half, Salvatore scored a penalty in the 60th minute to restore the lead. Despite late pressure from the opposition, goalkeeper Sabetta made key saves to ensure the three points.

In preparation for an upcoming Coppa match against Ancona, Siena vice-president Marco Ghizzani emphasized a winning mindset. Ghizzani indicated that the squad will likely see rotations, including players like Lipari who have seen limited recent minutes. The club is currently managing injuries to Michielan and Ciofi, while remaining within three points of the league leader after nine matchdays.
