Regional libraries in Vrancea and Cluj organize cultural events

Several regional libraries in Romania are hosting week-long cultural programs from October 19 to 23, 2026.

In Vrancea, the ‘Duiliu Zamfirescu’ County Library is organizing County Library Days at the Vrancea Museum. The schedule includes a symposium titled ‘To read, to think, to judge’ focusing on culture, education, and law, as well as educational debates regarding rights and responsibilities. The event also features book launches by authors Florin Purluca and Diana Candlish, alongside conferences on cultural memory.

In Cluj, the ‘Octavian Goga’ County Library is celebrating its 30th edition of Neighborhood Library Days. The initiative offers free library registration and various interactive activities across several branches, including the Traian Brad, Zorilor, and Grigorescu branches. Programming includes storytelling workshops, online meetings with authors like Dan Ungureanu, roundtables on addiction and decision-making, and sessions on STEM education and environmental protection.
