Regional literary festivals celebrate cultural heritage in Reunion and Tangier

Regional literary festivals are highlighting diverse cultural narratives across different territories. In Reunion, Nadia Boinaïdi, creator of ‘Maoré Puzzle’, participated in the 11th Indian Ocean Youth Book Fair. Her work, which includes books and puzzles centered on Mahoran tales and legends, aims to increase visibility for Mayotte’s talents and address the shortage of Mayotte-related literature in regional libraries.

In Morocco, the 14th Tangier Regional Book Fair has opened under the theme ‘Tangier, port of imagination and refuge of writers’. Organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the event features a program of literature, history, and arts. The opening ceremony honored several intellectual and artistic figures and included a lecture by the Mediator of the Kingdom, Hassan Tariq, on the importance of renewing the national narrative.
