Regional mobility projects advance in Slovenia and Croatia

In Slovenia, the Ljubljana Urban Region Regional Development Agency is implementing a unified regional e-bike rental system. In collaboration with provider Nomago, the project will expand to Trzin and Komenda this year, with Trzin's system expected to launch in October. The goal is to create a connected network across at least 21 municipalities by 2028, featuring 549 e-bikes and 854 docking stations to promote sustainable mobility.

In Croatia, the State Commission for Supervision of Public Procurement Procedures (DKOM) has annulled the selection of Intis Engineering for a project to build electric bus charging infrastructure in Rijeka. The decision, made following an appeal by Končar, cited deficiencies in proving the technical compliance of the equipment offered. Autotrolej, the local utility company, must now re-evaluate the bids for the 1.55 million euro project, which includes electrical infrastructure and a new transformer station.
