Enduro and motocross developments in the Netherlands and Belgium

Several developments are occurring within the regional motocross and enduro racing scenes. In the Netherlands, Cas Valk is transitioning from motocross to enduro racing with WPM Motors and VWP Shortlease. Following a recovery from a serious injury sustained at the Dutch Masters in Markelo, Valk will use the enduro event in Zelhem as a learning opportunity before participating in the two-day championship ride in Hellendoorn.

Additionally, the 47th Jan van Beekrit is scheduled to take place in Zelhem on October 31. This event serves as an ONK Enduro championship counting race and is the final competition before the championship ride. The course includes various stages such as the Lovink spectacle stage and locations in Halle and Zelhem.

In Belgium, 10-year-old Matz Van Gestel has emerged as a significant motocross talent. He recently secured three titles, winning the Flemish and Belgian championships as well as the Dutch DMX South championship. Van Gestel, who is related to motocrosser Jago Geerts, has been riding since the age of four.
