Balkan summer music surge: Freshwave festival, Carl Cox, Milanče concerts

The 14th edition of the Freshwave festival will take place in Banja Luka from 6 to 8 August, featuring international and regional acts. Organisers highlighted the event’s role in boosting local tourism, noting that visitors stay several days, use accommodation and hospitality services, and spread a positive image of the city across the region.

In Croatia, legendary DJ Carl Cox will perform on 7 August at the Cave Romane venue in Vinkur, a show that sold out weeks in advance and is supported by the Medulin municipality and tourism board.

Vodice will host a week‑long “Big Five” music marathon from 6 to 15 August, with performances by Senidah, Voyage, Jala Brat & Buba Corelli, Severina and Grše, drawing large crowds to the open‑air La Playa stage.

Serbian folk singer Milanče Radosavljević, 82, has sold out three concerts at Belgrade’s Tašmajdan and added a fourth show at the city stadium, crediting his wife and son for support.

Singer Rada Manojlović explained she is not touring Montenegro this summer because she lacks a manager, having performed only in Petrovac and relying on personal marketing efforts.
