Regional musical artists receive honors and perform at heritage sites

Musical artists have received recognition and performed at cultural heritage sites in different regions. In Bahia, Brazil, the duo Sandro de Castro e Ewany was honored at the Troféu Melhores do São João 2026. They received the award in the Regional Rhythms category, a distinction aimed at celebrating artists who preserve the tradition of forró and Northeastern culture.

In Spain, the folk group TOR performed at the Torre do Castro in Sandiás. The concert, which drew approximately 200 attendees, served as a presentation for their second album, 'Zira'. The performance blended Galician and Celtic musical traditions, utilizing instruments such as the Galician bagpipes, accordion, and bouzouki to perform both original compositions and traditional melodies.
