Regional NSW cities compete to host 2027 Koori Knockout

Regional cities in New South Wales are competing for the hosting rights to the 2027 Koori Knockout, a major First Nations rugby league tournament. Following the 2026 event held in Raymond Terrace, the decision on the next location rests with the newly crowned men's champions, Wiradjuri Aboriginal Rivers.

Port Stephens Mayor Leah Anderson, reflecting on the recent tournament, described the event as a massive community success and offered support to future hosts. Among the contenders for the 2027 carnival is Orange, with local Councillor Gerald Power advocating for the city's capability to host the competition despite some concerns regarding its size.
