Regional obituaries reported for August 17

Several deaths were reported in the region over the weekend of August 14–17.

In Brusque, José Antônio Zendron passed away at age 88, and Maria Cantalice Lang passed away at age 98. José Antônio Dada, known as Zeca, also passed away at age 89.

Other recent deaths include Lourdes Marchiori Tomasi, age 91, in Nova Trento; Evaldo Bunn, age 80, in Barra Velha; and Vilma Buschirolli de Souza, age 88, in Ribeirão do Ouro.
