Regional Oktoberfest celebrations held in Schleching and Schömberg
Various regional celebrations inspired by Oktoberfest traditions have taken place in Germany, focusing on community engagement and traditional Bavarian attire.
In Schleching, seniors gathered for a special Oktoberfest breakfast hosted by the Murmeltiere e. V. team. The event featured traditional food such as pretzels, white sausages, and Obazda. During the festivities, Uschi Ziegler was honored for ten years of volunteer service to the community. The celebration included cultural program elements such as speeches and poetry.
In Schömberg, the event ‘Trachten-Fliegen am Himmelsglück’ combined traditional fashion with a unique experience. Organized by Modehaus Bertsch, the event encouraged the wearing of Dirndls and Lederhosen at an observation tower. The initiative aimed to showcase traditional clothing as versatile fashion suitable for various occasions beyond the standard Oktoberfest season, bringing together local businesses, music clubs, and the community.
