Regional organizational updates in Vigo and Lugo

The Novas Xeracións organization has announced that its local congress in Vigo will take place on October 3. Following a provincial board meeting, the event was ratified unanimously. The Organizing Committee will be led by Borja Rodríguez Fontán, alongside Isaías Gil Rodríguez and Aldara Vázquez Rodríguez. Candidates must submit their proposals by September 22 with at least 10 endorsements, followed by an electoral campaign from September 23 to 30.

In Lugo, the Asociación de Prensa de Lugo has completed its quadrennial leadership renewal. Journalist Rocío Cortés Galdo, a veteran of El Progreso, has been elected to lead the association, succeeding Carmen Uz. The new board includes Arsenio Coto as Vice President and Xoán Carlos Vidal as Treasurer. The leadership aims to strengthen the association’s digital presence and decentralize activities across various regions of the province.
