Regional parks in Italy host environmental and biodiversity initiatives
The Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park, in collaboration with the Lazio Region, recently held events as part of the “Tesori Naturali 2026” program. Activities included the Sabatino Hiking Trail, a 20-kilometer trek from Oriolo Romano to Trevignano Romano through the Monti Sabatini, and a nocturnal excursion at the Caldara di Manziana focused on nocturnal fauna and ecosystem balance.
In another region, the Parco delle Groane e della Brughiera Briantea has scheduled its second autumn excursion for November 8. Titled “I boschi e la loro gestione – Le aree umide, un patrimonio da scoprire e proteggere,” the event will focus on forest management and the importance of wetlands for biodiversity. The guided walk will be led by Volunteer Ecological Guards (Gev) and experts, starting from Fino Mornasco.
