Regional political disputes in Marche and Campania

In the Marche region, the Fratelli d'Italia group has issued a statement regarding a judicial investigation into post-earthquake reconstruction contracts. The investigation involves a former Chief of Staff to the Regional President, who has not been part of the regional administration for nearly a year. The political group maintains that President Francesco Acquaroli and the regional government are unrelated to the alleged misconduct, asserting that the former official acted independently.

In Campania, regional councilor Livio Petitto of Forza Italia has criticized the regional government for postponing an inquiry into the funding for the Partenio Lombardi stadium in Avellino. Petitto noted that the regional administration is currently unable to provide clarity regarding the 72 million euros requested by the Municipality of Avellino for the stadium project, leading to concerns over the transparency of the financial coverage.
