Regional potato festivals held in Wülfrath and Rimbach

Various regional potato festivals were held in Germany, celebrating local harvests and community traditions.

In Wülfrath, the annual Kartoffelfest organized by the “Wülfrath pro” community saw hundreds of visitors. A new record was set during the potato weighing competition, where participants used their body weight to balance sacks of potatoes, resulting in a total of 725 kilograms donated to the table. The event also featured the 37th Wülfrather potato peeling championships.

In Rimbach, the 20th Kartoffelfest was hosted by the Obst- und Gartenbauverein Rimbach. The celebration began with an outdoor harvest thanksgiving service and included regional markets, live music from the Queck brass band, and various culinary specialties such as fried potatoes.
