Regional reforestation initiatives advance in Argentina and Mexico
Environmental conservation efforts are advancing through distinct regional initiatives in Argentina and Mexico. In Córdoba, Argentina, the Gen Nativo program has produced approximately 8,000 specimens of native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous species within five months of starting operations. This initiative, a collaboration between the Municipality of Córdoba and the Provincial Ministry of Bioagroindustry, aims to reach a goal of 20,000 specimens to support reforestation, ecological restoration, and urban green spaces.
In San Pedro Cholula, Mexico, local authorities conducted the 16th reforestation session at Cerro Zapotecas. During this event, 600 adaptable tree species were planted to protect the region's natural resources. The effort involved coordination between municipal, state, and federal entities, including CONAFOR, to strengthen the local flora and promote environmental sustainability.
