Regional reports issued by Antorchista and CCI organizations in Mexico

In the state of Puebla, several municipal governments affiliated with the Antorcha movement—including Tecomatlán, Huitzilan de Serdán, Ocoyucan, Santa Inés Ahuatempan, Ixcaquixtla, Cañada Morelos, Atexcal, and Coyomeapan—presented their second progress reports for the 2024-2027 term. The administrations highlighted the delivery of public works and services through collective work, despite what they described as a national trend toward the centralization of resources. The reports noted that changes to federal funding, such as the reallocation of the Social Infrastructure Contributions Fund (FAIS) toward indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities, have impacted municipal capacities.

In Hidalgo, the Independent Peasant Central (CCI) presented its annual activity report in Tula de Allende. State Executive Committee President Tiquico Pérez Paredes detailed the distribution of 1,886 agricultural supports to producers in regions such as the Huasteca, Otomí-Tepehua, Sierra Gorda, and Valle del Mezquital. These supports, coordinated with the Hidalgo Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development, included seeds, livestock, tools, and equipment. Additionally, the CCI reported the delivery of 480 catastrophic insurance checks and various resources for greenhouse and aquaculture production.
