Regional representatives call for improved public transport in Bracigliano and Urbino
In Italy, regional councilor Roberto Celano of Forza Italia has submitted an inquiry to the Campania regional government regarding public transport deficiencies in Bracigliano. Following complaints from students and commuters, Celano is requesting increased afternoon and evening connections, better integration between bus and train services, and the potential extension of Busitalia Campania’s Line 53 to Bracigliano to improve access to Salerno and Mercato San Severino.
In the Marche region, councilor Marta Ruggeri of the Five Star Movement has raised concerns regarding public transport for university students in Urbino. Ruggeri’s inquiry addresses rising subscription costs, which students report have increased by up to 22%, alongside service cuts and delays in activating student discounts. She is calling for dedicated regional funding and a structural mobility plan to ensure that transportation costs and scheduling do not hinder the right to education.
