Regional revitalization events and tourism initiatives across Japan

Various Japanese municipalities and organizations are hosting events focused on regional revitalization, migration, and cultural tourism.

In Tokyo, Asakura City will participate in the JOIN-FURUSATO Migration and Exchange Fair at Tokyo Big Sight on November 14, 2026, followed by a consultation session in Kyobashi on November 15. The city aims to promote its natural environment and support systems for new residents. Similarly, Owani Town from Aomori Prefecture will exhibit at the Aomori UI-Turn Fair in Yurakucho on November 7, 2026, offering information on relocation and local community revitalization roles.

Cultural and culinary experiences are also being promoted. In Takaoka, Toyama, a special tour will be held on November 22, 2026, featuring a guided visit to the National Treasure Shoko-ji Temple combined with a gourmet course by the restaurant Ahora Aqui. In the Tosa Reihoku region of Kochi Prefecture, an exchange event is scheduled for December 13, 2026, centered on local rice production, sake, and traditional food culture to connect visitors with local producers.
