Regional revitalization meetings scheduled in Mine and Yamagata

Various regional revitalization and community development events are scheduled to take place in Japan.

In Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a meeting titled ‘Machizukuri Meeting @ Mine’ will be held on November 18, 2026. The event focuses on creating mechanisms to attract people to the region and fostering sustainable community revitalization through collaboration between local government, businesses, and regional revitalization cooperation teams. The program includes case studies from local officials and business leaders, followed by a workshop for idea exchange.

In Yamagata Prefecture, the ‘Yamagata NPO Activity Promotion Convention’ is set for November 16, 2026. The event aims to introduce various activities addressing regional issues to citizens and corporations. This year’s theme focuses on how to pass regional activities to the next generation and establish sustainable systems. The convention will feature reports from several NPO grant recipients and a seminar on future-oriented management by the Japan Association of Third Sector Executives.
