Regional school infrastructure projects advance in Croatia and Slovenia
Educational infrastructure projects are progressing in Croatia and Slovenia to improve learning environments and capacity.
In Našice, Croatia, the reconstruction and expansion of King Tomislav Elementary School is underway. The €8.5 million project aims to add 2,300 square meters of space and 14 new classrooms, including two for children with developmental disabilities. Funded by the Croatian government, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and Osijek-Baranja County, the project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2027. Once finished, the school intends to transition to a single-shift teaching model.
In Slovenia, the renovation of the 3rd Elementary School Rogaška Slatina has been completed. The €660,000 investment, coordinated by the Municipality of Rogaška Slatina and involving six partner municipalities, focused on improving energy efficiency through facade and roof renovations. To address rising student enrollment, additional basement space was converted into a new classroom to increase capacity.
