Regional security appointments in Madagascar and citizen engagement in Burkina Faso
In Burkina Faso, staff and 400 students from the National School of Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officers (ENSOG) mobilized at the Faso Mêbo site in Bobo-Dioulasso. As part of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation, participants engaged in paving activities to assist in the development and beautification of local spaces.
In Madagascar, a military ceremony was held in Mahajanga to officially install regional directors of public security for the Boeny, Melaky, Betsiboka, and Sofia regions. Presided over by Minister of Public Security Erick Michel, the ceremony formalizes appointments made by the Council of Ministers in December. The initiative aims to strengthen local security and implement government policy through coordinated leadership across the designated regions.
