Regional Spanish initiatives launch sports values and sustainable fashion programs

The Fundación Jóvenes y Deporte is resuming its ‘Promotion of Values in School-Age Sport’ program in the Extremadura region of Spain. Starting September 28, the initiative will visit ten educational centers across Badajoz and Cáceres to promote values such as effort, respect, and fair play through the experiences of athletes Laura Campos Prieto and Rubén Tanco Vadillo.

In Navarra, the Fundación Madre Coraje has launched the second edition of the ‘Corahe Collection’ challenge. Funded by the Government of Navarra, the initiative encourages participants to use upcycling techniques to transform second-hand clothing into sustainable fashion. The competition includes a trip to the Peruvian Andes for two winners to learn about alpaca fiber production and artisanal fashion in Huancavelica.
