Regional sporting events held in Cocal do Sul and Águas Claras

Various regional sporting events took place in Brazil, highlighting both inclusive athletics and traditional community competitions.

In Cocal do Sul, the APAE Rustic Race of the Carbonífera Region brought together more than 200 athletes from ten different municipalities. The event featured 33 different trials held at the Municipal Field of Cocal do Sul. Local officials emphasized the importance of the event in promoting social integration and showcasing the capabilities of athletes through sport.

In the district of Águas Claras, Mariana, the 21st São Luiz Race was held, attracting approximately 200 participants. The competition included mountain biking and rustic running, utilizing the natural landscapes and historical routes of the Estrada Real. The event serves to promote ecotourism and celebrate local traditions through athletic challenges.
