Mali Lošinj hosts 30th All-Croatian sports competition for war veterans

Mali Lošinj is hosting the 30th All-Croatian Sports Competition for Homeland War Disabled (SŠNIDOR) from October 9 to 11. The event features over 1,000 participants organized into 22 teams from various Croatian counties, the City of Zagreb, and HVIDR-e HVO Herceg-Bosne. The competition includes nine disciplines: bocce, hanging bowling, electronic darts, bowling, table tennis, shooting, sport fishing, chess, and wheelchair racing.

The event is held under the patronage of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and supported by the Ministry of Croatian Veterans. Officials, including Minister Tomo Medved, noted the importance of such gatherings for the physical and psychosocial empowerment of war veterans and the expansion of veteran care networks.

Other regional sporting events include the third Palić Lake Duathlon in Serbia, which serves as the Serbian Open Championship, and the 12th Poljud Cup in Split, an international rod fishing competition. Additionally, the sixth international sports manifestation ‘Stazama Bosne Srebrenine’ is scheduled for October 10 in Srebrenica.
