Regional sports and cultural festivals scheduled for upcoming weekend

Various regional sporting and cultural events are scheduled for the weekend of September 19-20, 2026, across Germany and Austria.

In Pleinfeld, Germany, the Fürst Carl Seenlandmarathon is expected to draw approximately 3,000 participants. The event includes a variety of races such as the marathon, half-marathon, relay races, and Nordic walking, primarily centered around the Franconian Lake District and Großer Brombachsee. The weekend also features family-oriented activities like the Engeler-Bambiniläufe for children.

In the Vorarlberg region of Austria, several activities are planned. Bregenz will host the Business Run Bodensee, a five-kilometer team run. Frastanz is holding its traditional Bockbierfest at the local brewery, featuring live music. Additionally, Götzis will host the ‘Rock on the Roof 2026’ concert, and Lustenau is set to host a football derby.
