Regional sports: Caldaro defeats Mastini Varese and Valsanterno wins in Eccellenza

In regional Italian sports, Caldaro secured a 6-3 victory over Mastini Varese in ice hockey. Despite an early 3-0 lead by Caldaro, the Mastini attempted a comeback through effective power play management and strong individual performances, including Pippo Matonti. However, Caldaro maintained control to secure the win, marking the second loss for Varese in three matches.

In football, Valsanterno achieved their first victory in the Eccellenza championship with a 1-2 away win against Russi. Goals from Sona and Galanti helped the team move out of the play-out zone, reaching five points after five matches. The win is noted as a significant mental milestone for the squad as they transition from the Promozione category to the regional elite.
