Regional sports competitions announced in Central America and Venezuela

The Costa Rican National Skateboarding Team is set to compete in the IV Central American Skateboarding Championship on August 29 and 30 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Organized by the Central American Skating Confederation, the nine-member street modality squad seeks to defend its regional title, having secured first place in the previous three editions held in El Salvador and Panama.

In Venezuela, Playa Guacuco in Nueva Esparta will host the First Regional Surf and Bodyboard Competition on September 5 and 6. The event, which was rescheduled following seismic activity in June, will feature approximately 100 athletes across various disciplines, including shortboard, bodyboard, paddle surf, and longboard. This competition serves as a qualifier for the Third National Competition in Chirimena.
