Regional sports competitions resume in France

Regional sports activities are resuming in France. In the Lot department, 16 young badminton players from various clubs, including Bouriane Badminton and Athlé46 Souillac, participated in a preparation camp at the Willy Etiève complex in Pradines. A group of five youths will travel to Albi on September 26-27 for an Occitanie regional stage. Upcoming events include a departmental junior circuit in Gramat on October 4 and the 7th edition of the 'volants du Roi' senior tournament in Labastide-Murat on October 10-11.

In rugby, the 2026-2027 Régionale 1 Occitanie season began with a match between Étoile Sportive Laroquaise and VAL XV. The match was marked by high intensity and disciplinary issues, including a red card for a Laroquaise player in the 31st minute. Despite playing with fourteen men, Laroque-d'Olmes remained competitive in the opening fixture.
