Regional sports events feature youth football and European beach rugby

The second edition of the Kickers Summer Cup is taking place in Chișineu Criș, Romania. Organized by Daniel and Bianca Cherecheși with local support, the youth football tournament features approximately 40 clubs. Participants include teams from across Romania and the Bekescsaba Academy from Hungary, with roughly 1,000 young footballers competing across six age categories ranging from 2015 to 2020.

In Moldova, Chișinău is hosting the European Beach Rugby Championship for the third consecutive year at the La Izvor Park Arena. The tournament features eight national teams in both the men's and women's divisions. The Moldovan men's team, seeking to improve upon their previous silver medal, will compete in a group against Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Greece. The women's team, aiming to build on their bronze medal history, will face Bulgaria, Estonia, and Greece.
