Regional sports programs promote youth athletics in Békéscsaba and Transcarpathia

Various sports promotion initiatives are taking place in the region. In Békéscsaba, the SportHÉT program series is scheduled from August 25 to 29. The event features 41 different sports and 57 sports organizations, aiming to introduce local clubs to the public and help children choose athletic activities before the new school year begins. Activities are held at Szent István Square and the Árpád Thermal and Beach Bath, with water sports such as swimming and water polo being highlighted.

Additionally, the GENIUS Charity Foundation organized the IX. Beregvidék and VI. Ung-vidék sports camps from August 3 to 8. Hosted at the Rákóczi Ferenc Carpathian Hungarian University of Transcarpathia, the camps hosted over 100 youths from various settlements in Transcarpathia. The program included karate, ball games, and various competitions designed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual health through professional development and community engagement.
