Regional sports results: TSV Rain and SG Sonnenhof Großaspach suffer heavy defeats

In German regional sports, TSV Rain suffered a significant 2:8 home defeat against newcomers TSG Thannhausen in the Landesliga Westsüdwest. Despite strong efforts from players like Marco Klein and Gerhard Wittmeier, the hosts struggled in deciding sets, losing all four matches that went to a fifth set.

In football, SG Sonnenhof Großaspach experienced a heavy 1:5 loss against Waldhof Mannheim. Following the match, coach Pascal Reinhardt took responsibility for the defeat, noting that while the team showed character and effort, they failed to capitalize on opportunities and lost too many duels. The loss marks Großaspach's heaviest defeat of the current season.
