Regional summer festivals conclude in Parintins and Esperantina

Several regional summer festivals in Brazil have concluded, providing economic boosts to their respective communities. In Parintins, the Caburi Summer Festival ended with the election of Marliane Mendonça as ‘Garota Verão 2026’. Mendonça received 119.80 points from judges and a prize of R$ 5,000. Mayor Mateus Assayag described this edition as the largest ever held at Praia Brilho do Banzeiro, noting the significant infrastructure and impact on local commerce and street vendors.

In Esperantina, the São Francisco Beach season concluded after four weekends of musical performances. The event, organized by the local government with support from the Tocantins state government, served as an economic driver for the region. The influx of tourists benefited local lodging, restaurants, transportation services, and artisanal product sales, reinforcing the area's position as a summer destination in the Araguaia-Tocantins region.
