Regional tourism events highlighted in Uonuma and Misato

Various regional tourism and cultural events are scheduled across Niigata and Akita prefectures.

In Uonuma City, upcoming autumn activities include the Uonuma Oktoberfest on October 4, cosmos flower viewing at Uehara Cosmos Garden, and a New Japan Pro-Wrestling event on October 10. Other seasonal offerings include hiking tours, stargazing at Suhara Ski Resort, and a koi carp competition.

In Misato Town, Akita, visitors participated in a lavender harvesting experience at the Misato Town Lavender Garden. The event featured the rare white 'Misato Sekka' lavender alongside traditional purple varieties. The experience included local culinary offerings such as fermented foods and workshops for creating lavender-based tinctures and bath salts.
