Regional tourism expands with new cycling games and hiking trails in Poland

Recent developments in regional tourism and outdoor activities in Poland include a new historical cycling game and the establishment of a hiking trail in the Wałbrzych Mountains.

The “Kolno – Mysterious Mountain” cycling game recently took place, featuring a route through the Międzychód County. Participants traveled from Sierakowo to a historical stronghold in Kolno, engaging in medieval-themed challenges such as archery and learning about 14th-century history related to Dobrogost of Kolno.

Additionally, a new 14.7 km red hiking trail has been established near Wałbrzych, spanning the Stare Bogaczowice municipality and the Wałbrzych Mountains. The trail, which takes approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes to complete, offers moderate difficulty with a 500-meter elevation gain. It provides access to various landmarks, including a 16th-century stone and sites associated with Karol Wojtyła.
